South Star Chrysler is a unique dealership for technicians to work at as both of the owners, Kay and Bill, worked for the Chrysler Zone office in the Service and Parts division prior to opening the dealership. Kay is the Service Manager and has 23 years of Chrysler experience. Her 8 years of employment at the Chrysler Zone office as a District Manager bring expertise in customer handling, scheduling and organizational skills that are second to none.
Bill has 28 years of Chrysler experience including 13 years of employment at the Chrysler Zone office in the positions of District Manger, Service Training Instructor and Technical Advisor.
The entire management team consists of long-term employees. Our Parts manager, Teresa, has been employed here 14 years and prides herself in being able to get the right part for each job and on time. The bubbly personalities of these two ladies put the customers at ease and help ensure that the work atmosphere is both friendly and fun. The Office manager and Sales Manager have been at South Star Chrysler for 15 and 12 years respectively.

Technician Bonus Plan is based off of the bi-weekly pay period. Once you hit the bonus level, you receive the bonus on all of the hours flagged during the pay period.
90 hours = $1.00 Bonus per hour flagged for the pay period
95 hours = $1.50 Bonus per hour flagged for the pay period
100 + hours = $2.00 Bonus per hour flagged for the pay period
Vacations - Full time employees are eligible for paid vacations as follows:
One week after one year on the job.
Two weeks after two years on the job.
Three weeks after five years on the job.
Four weeks after ten years on the job.
Candidates for the Automotive Service Technician position should meet the following requirements:
Automotive Repair Experience or Technical education in automotive repair
ASE certification is desired
Must have own tools
Valid Drivers License
This individual should also have basic math, reading and writing skills as well as the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The technician will possess mechanical skills, physical strength and stamina to perform automotive repairs. This individual will be honest, reliable and trustworthy. The technician will take pride in his completed work, will follow direction and adhere to policies and procedures, while exhibiting a neat and clean appearance. Applicants should have good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
